Pre- and Post- Lingual Frenum Release
12-15 sessions
Pre-Frenum Release Therapy:
Before undergoing a frenum release procedure (whether it’s for tongue-tie, lip-tie, or other related issues), it’s essential to prepare your muscles and tissues for the release. Pre-frenum release therapy helps to maximize the effectiveness of the procedure and supports better healing afterward. Misty will assess your oral and facial muscles, focusing on the tongue, lips, and surrounding areas, to develop a customized plan aimed at improving muscle function and range of motion. This may include specific stretches, strengthening exercises, and manual techniques to help optimize the release outcome.
Post-Frenum Release Therapy:
After the frenum release procedure, post-release therapy is crucial for ensuring proper healing and preventing any reattachment or complications. The goal of post-frenum release therapy is to help restore full function and mobility to the tongue and lips. Misty will guide you through a series of exercises to prevent scar tissue formation, encourage optimal movement, and address any muscle imbalances that may result from the release. The therapy also helps improve oral function, including swallowing, speaking, and eating, and can prevent the return of any restrictive patterns. Typically, a series of follow-up sessions are scheduled to monitor progress and refine your treatment plan as needed.
Mouth Breathing
12-15 sessions
Mouth Breathing Therapy focuses on identifying the root causes of mouth breathing and helping individuals transition to breathing through the nose. Misty will evaluate your oral and facial muscles, posture, breathing patterns, and any contributing factors, such as allergies or structural issues, to create a personalized treatment plan.
Tongue Thrust
12-15 sessions
Tongue Thrusting Therapy focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of the habit, helping individuals re-train their tongue and improve overall oral function. Misty will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your oral and facial muscles, tongue posture, and swallowing patterns to determine the severity of the issue. Based on the findings, a personalized treatment plan will be created to help break the habit and promote proper tongue function.
Sleep Apnea
12-15 sessions
Sleep Apnea Therapy focuses on improving airway function and supporting better, deeper sleep. Our approach is designed to help individuals with mild to moderate sleep apnea, or those who are looking for complementary therapy alongside other treatments like CPAP or dental appliances. Misty will evaluate your breathing patterns, oral posture, and other contributing factors to develop a personalized treatment plan.
